Week 4: Sketching & wireframing

Module 2

Today I want to reflect on the importance of sketching and wireframes in the design process. I have found that these tools are essential in helping me to visualise and iterate on the ideas and problems that I found during the research process.

As a UX designer, it is crucial to understand the needs and behaviours of our users. In my project, I interviewed four people from Gen Z about their habits of donating time and money to volunteer work. Through these conversations, I was able to identify some common pain points that this demographic faces when trying to give back.

To address these issues, I started to sketch out some potential solutions. This process allowed me to quickly iterate and refine my ideas. By the time I moved on to wireframes, I had a solid foundation of ideas to work from.

Wireframes were particularly helpful in allowing me to map out the user journey and the various interactions that would take place within the app. I was able to experiment with different layouts and designs until I found a solution that was both functional and visually appealing.

Overall, I believe that sketching and wireframes are essential tools in the UX design process. They allow us to quickly iterate on ideas and visualise solutions. Through this process, we are able to create products that meet the needs of our users and solve their pain points.
